Grove Promises

What Grove will never do.

Most software companies write a privacy policy and call it ethics. Grove is different. Below are eight promises — explicit, public, and binding. If we ever break one, you can leave with all your data and tell the world we did.

01
Grove will never sell your patient data.
Not to advertisers. Not to data brokers. Not to insurers, employers, or pharmaceutical companies. Not in aggregated form. Not in anonymized form. Not in any form. The whole-patient picture we help you build is held in trust — not as a commercial asset we can monetize against you.
02
Grove will never show ads to patients.
No banner ads. No "sponsored content." No promoted services in the patient portal. No referral marketing from pharmaceutical companies. The patient portal is a clinical tool, not an advertising surface. Period.
03
Grove will never charge you to export your data.
One-click export of every record, every appointment, every message — in standard, portable formats (CSV, JSON, FHIR) — included on every plan including the free tier. No exit fee. No "data egress" charge. No 90-day waiting period. Your data is yours, and Grove will never hold it hostage.
04
Grove will never tax you for growing.
No per-seat pricing. No per-patient fees. No per-appointment surcharges. When your practice grows from one provider to twelve, the price stays in the published tier. Plans are based on what you need — not on how successful you become.
05
Grove will never deprecate the free tier.
Grove Free will exist permanently. We will never remove it, never put it behind a credit card, never time-limit it, never silently degrade it to push you to a paid plan. Some practitioners genuinely don't need a paid tier — and Grove is for them too.
06
Grove will never raise your founding partner rate.
Founding partners pay $99 CAD per month — locked in forever. Not "for the first year." Not "until your next renewal." Forever. Even if Grove eventually charges $1,000 a month for the same plan, founding partners stay at $99. Written into the founding agreement, signed at onboarding.
07
Grove will never use patient data to train AI without explicit consent.
No silent AI training on your clinical notes. No "anonymized" model improvement without opt-in. When Grove uses AI to help your practice — note assist, medication safety, scribe — the prompts and outputs are zero-retention with the AI provider, and never used to train models. If we ever want to use your data to improve Grove itself, we will ask first, transparently, in plain language.
08
Grove will never share your data with insurers, employers, or government without legal compulsion.
We will not voluntarily share patient information with any third party for any reason that isn't required by law and accompanied by a lawful order. When law enforcement requests records, we challenge overly broad requests, notify affected parties where legally permitted, and publish an annual transparency report. Patient privacy is our default, not our compromise.
