Is Grove free for me?
If your doctor is on Grove, you get a free patient portal — appointments, messages, your medication list, test results, all of it. There's no patient subscription needed. Grove for Families ($9 CAD/month, coming soon) is for people who want their own complete medication picture even when their doctors aren't on Grove yet.
Who can see my medical information?
Only the providers you choose. Grove holds your information on your behalf — not on behalf of any single practice. You decide which providers see what. You can revoke access at any time. We never share your data with insurers, employers, advertisers, or anyone else without your explicit, informed consent.
What if my doctor isn't on Grove?
Two options. You can ask them to join — we'll send them a personalized invitation if you want. Or you can sign up for Grove for Families (coming Spring 2026) and maintain your complete medication list independently. Either way, your complete health picture stops being something only you have to carry around.
What happens to my data if I stop using Grove?
You take it with you. Export everything in standard formats at any time. Delete it permanently with one click. Your data is yours — that's not a marketing line, it's how Grove was built from day one.
Is Grove the same as my doctor's old patient portal?
No. Most patient portals show you what one practice did. Grove shows you the complete picture — every doctor caring for you, every medication, every result, in one place. That's the difference. And it's the difference that catches what siloed portals miss.
How is Grove different from MyChart, Patient Gateway, or other EMR portals?
Those portals are run by hospital systems and only show you what's inside that hospital. Grove is built around you — the patient — and connects every provider caring for you, regardless of what system they use. If you've ever been frustrated that your cardiologist's portal can't see what your family doctor prescribed, that's the problem Grove was built to solve.
Is Grove HIPAA, PIPEDA, and GDPR compliant?
Yes. Grove is fully compliant with HIPAA (US), PIPEDA (Canada), UK GDPR, and the Australian Privacy Principles. Your data is encrypted, stored in your country's jurisdiction, and protected by all the standards required for medical information. We never share, sell, or use your data for any purpose without your explicit consent.
